Lakewood, Colo. – Today, U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter (CO-07) released an overview of activity for 2016 including constituents services, events and legislation.
“One of my greatest responsibilities is helping the hardworking people of the 7th Congressional District,” said Perlmutter. “My staff and I are here to help constituents cut through red tape at federal agencies as well as to provide resources and information about a variety of issues. We look forward to continuing to serve the people of the 7th District in 2017.”
In 2016, on behalf of the 7th Congressional District, Rep. Perlmutter and his staff:
Hosted 30 events with more than 18,000 attendees
Completed 595 constituent services cases
Helped secure $550,350 in owed benefits and savings for constituents
Advocated for $31.8 million in funds supporting organizations, research and jobs in the 7th Congressional District
Answered 49,456 letters, emails and calls
Nominated 22 students to U.S. Service Academies
Drafted 5 pieces of legislation which became law in the 114th Congress
In addition, Perlmutter was awarded “2016 Legislator of the Year” by three organizations: Paralyzed Veterans of America – Mountain States Chapter; Jefferson County Economic Development Corp.; and United Veterans Committee of Colorado.
