Colorado's 7th Congressional District encompasses the northern and western suburbs of the Denver Metro region spanning the north half of Jefferson County and the west half of Adams County.
The district offers a diversified geographical setting from urban to rural and an abundance of outdoor recreational areas. The district is also home to a variety of industries including aerospace, aviation, banking and finance, beverage production, cleantech, health and wellness, energy development, manufacturing, and pharmaceutical and biotechnology.
With more than 770,000 residents of the district, it is a popular place to call home for many of Colorado’s young people, families and seniors. According to the Denver Regional Council of Governments, Adams County is projected to be one of the fastest growing communities in Colorado over the next 20 years. Almost half of the employment growth in the metro region will be in Adams County and the urban core. Issues at the forefront of concern for the 7th Congressional District include energy, transportation, health care and education.
