As a small business owner, I know what it is like to meet a payroll.

Starting in the 113th Congress, I am proud to be the Vice Chair of the Small Business Committee. In addition to the full Committee, I also serve on the Health and Technology and Agriculture Subcommittee and the Energy and Trade Subcommittee.

President Obama has been demanding that Congress pass his jobs bill and has asked for Republicans to offer a jobs plan. Not only have House Republicans already offered a plan, but we have been focused on passing legislation that will create a better environment for job creation since the beginning of this year. 

The House has passed dozens of pro-growth job measures to get government out of the way. I will continue to support and push for policies that don’t over regulate our nation’s job creators. The government needs to get out of the way and let the private sector do what it does best, which is to help grow our nation’s economy and put Americans back to work.
