By Dec. 1, 2014 all individuals born after Dec. 1, 1964, will be required to comply with new drivers license and identification card standards because of the REAL ID Act of 2005 that passed as part of a recommendation from the 9/11 commission that the US should improve its systems for issuing identifications.
