Youth Civic Engagement Award

Each spring my office sponsors the Youth Civic Engagement Award to honor and recognize students who engage with their communities and serve as role models of civic participation. The students selected may be involved in government, leadership, vocational or service organizations. My office recognizes one nominee from each school. The school does not have to be located within the boundaries of the Third Congressional District, but the student must.

Students are nominated by a high school counselor in February of each school year. Award recipients are then honored at a ceremony in April, where I present them with a Certificate of Recognition and a letter of recommendation signed by me. No monetary or scholarship funds are attached to the award. Home school students who wish to be nominated may contact my Provo office for more information.
