The legislation provided cost-saving provisions for Medicare, strengthened health insurance for individuals who get it through their employer and expanded Medicaid for many,” U.S. Rep. Castor said yesterday on the U.S. House floor before presenting an amendment to safeguard the Affordable Care Act’s consumer friendly protections that currently provide neighbors and families with savings and economic security. “If Republicans aren’t careful in their zeal to repeal the Affordable Care Act, they in essence will be asking our parents and grandparents to pay a whole lot more,” U.S. Rep.
