On this day, we unite as a nation in remembering the tragic events that took place on September 11, 2001.
Together we pray for the lives we lost on that heartbreaking day, for the heroic firefighters, police officers and first responders who sacrificed their lives to save others, and for our brave servicemen and women who protect and fight for our country and freedoms every single day.
Although we are reminded today of the evils in our world, we are more importantly reminded of the tenacity and courage of the American people. Despite our differences, together we have persevered and become a stronger, wiser and more determined nation. Together, we will never forget.
As we currently face threats to our homeland, let us remember we are One Nation Under God and American pride will never perish. As your representative, I promise to continue fighting for a secure America.
