Just Ask Joe: After Mount Vernon Veteran Has Trouble Obtaining Passport, Donnelly Secures Passport

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly today released the latest installment of his “Just Ask Joe” video series, which highlights the many services available to Hoosiers from his office. After having trouble obtaining a passport despite serving two tours in the Vietnam War, Robert Tolliver of Mount Vernon contacted Donnelly’s office for assistance. As Mr. Tolliver was adopted at a young age, he did not have access to his original birth records. Donnelly’s office, along with Posey County Sheriff Greg Oeth contacted the State Department and the Indiana Bureau of Vital Records, and worked to resolve the issue. The Indiana Bureau of Vital Records provided the State Department with documentation, and Mr. Tolliver was able to secure his passport.
