Presidential Inauguration 2017

Tours: My office is happy to assist Hoosiers who are visiting our nation’s capital. My office can provide information on requesting tours at the following locations:

  • United States Capitol
  • Library of Congress
  • Supreme Court
  • Pentagon
  • Bureau of Engraving and Printing
  • National Archives Museum
  • National Museum of African American History
  • The White House**

**Please note that if you wish to tour the White House, your tour request must be submitted at least 21 days in advance. Our office recommends submitting your request 3 months in advance to maximize your chances of receiving a tour. Approval for White House tours is determined at the discretion of the White House. Congressional offices are not notified of the confirmation/denial status of requests until approximately two weeks prior to the requested date. Additionally, please be prepared to provide the White House with the following security information for every member of your party once your tour request is submitted:

  • First, middle, and last name
  • Date of birth
  • Social Security number
  • Current city and state of residence (not birthplace)
  • Country of birth
  • Whether or not you are a U.S. citizen
  • Gender
