Environment
Prior to my election to Congress, I spent more than two decades as a shellfish specialist monitoring water quality and environmental health issues in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. I am committed to the principle that our country's environment should be safeguarded for future generations. As a member of the House Committee on Natural Resources and the Chesapeake Bay Watershed Task Force, I am working to preserve and protect the environment in a wise and effective manner. I believe that we have an obligation to carefully and responsibly manage the 650 million acres of public lands in the United States. I support increased conservation and encourage stewardship of our land, water and wildlife. |
