Each Spring, the Congressional institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation and in each congressional district. This provides an opportunity for members of Congress to encourage their young constituents in the field of art. If you're a high school student in the 14th District, I encourage you to participate in this unique opportunity to showcase your gifts and abilities. I’m always surprised and encouraged by the talented young people of Northwest Georgia, and I can’t wait to see this year’s entries.
