Not only does energy affect every American, it is intimately tied to our nation’s economy, our national security, the quality of the air we breathe and the water we drink. And in an increasingly industrialized world, the competition is rising among nations for limited supplies of fossil fuels.

Rep. Eshoo recognizes that viable, sustainable, and renewable energy resources are essential to protect our economic and national security, as well as our environment. As a senior member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, she pursues legislation to encourage research and development, and innovative clean energy and energy efficient technologies.
