Arlington National Cemetery Metro Station
Arlington Mansion and 200 acres of ground immediately surrounding it were designated officially as a military cemetery June 15, 1864, by Secretary of War Edwin M. Stanton. Open daily October through March from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and April through September from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. View the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier every hour on the hour and every half hour during the summer months. See the Amphitheater, the Custis-Lee Mansion, and the graves of Presidents John F. Kennedy and William Howard Taft. Ample paid parking is available to visitors, accessible from Memorial Drive. The cost is $1.25/hour for the first three hours, and $2.00/hour thereafter. During all hours the cemetery is open the Arlington National Cemetery Metro stop is regularly served by the Blue Line subway. The cemetery is also serviced by Tourmobile, the popular tour buses that allow patrons unlimited reboarding for a single daily rate.

If you are flying into Washington Dulles International Airport, the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center is worth the visit. It is the companion facility to the Museum on the National Mall with 163 aircraft, 154 large space artifacts, more than 1,500 smaller items. The Center also offers the Airbus Imax Theater; flight simulators; food service; a museum store; free docent tours; daily educational programs. The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center is open from 10:00am until 5:30pm daily.
