What is TPP? TPP stands for Trans-Pacific Partnership. The TPP is a trade deal being negotiated between the United States and 11 other countries (Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, and Vietnam). When Will Congress Consider TPP? TPP Key Dates November 5th: Obama notified Congress of intent to sign TPP. February 3rd: Earliest Obama is allowed to sign TPP. There is no deadline to sign TPP. March 14th: Earliest Obama can send up TPP. There is no deadline to submit. |
