Yoho Statement on Veterans Bonuses

WASHINGTON, D.C. –Congressman Ted S. Yoho (R-FL) released the following statement regarding the Pentagon’s suspension of attempts to reclaim bonuses from veterans.

“Secretary of Defense Ash Carter is doing the right thing in suspending the Pentagon’s efforts to collect re-enlistment bonuses from members of the California National Guard. Those brave men and women, like all our Veterans, have sacrificed to defend the liberties and freedoms we all enjoy. To offer our men and women in uniform a bonus to re-enlist and then ask them to pay it back is just plain wrong.  We owe our Veterans everything and I will continue to fight for them in Florida and across the country.”
