The Animal Foundation is a non-profit, 501c3 organization operating Nevada’s largest open-admission animal shelter (Lied Animal Shelter) and pet adoption center, founded in 1978. We provide refuge for more than 30,000 lost, unwanted, neglected and abandoned animals every year. That is more than all other rescue organizations in the state of Nevada combined, and more than many major metropolitan areas across the country like Chicago, Cleveland, Atlanta and others.
The financial cost for our lifesaving programs is 100% the responsibility of The Animal Foundation and are funded by the generosity of individuals, foundations, corporations, and others.
Gift cards are always appreciated in any amount, large or small. Gift cards help us purchase larger ticket items, especially for the clinic. TO CHANGE THE AMOUNT ON THE CARD, HIT THE AMAZON CARD IMAGE TO THE LEFT. -TheAnimalFoundation
We always need blankets, especially right now. In Animal Care there are not enough to go around. We also need blankets for adoption and our foster care program to keep puppies and kitties warm. -TheAnimalFoundation
Only 12 left in stock--order soon.Offered by THE BT GROUP.
We always need litter pans! As a high volume shelter, the day-in, day-out normal wear and tear from our adoptable cats means pans need to be replaced on a regular basis.

We use recyclable items to make DIY enrichment toys for our cats, dogs, birds and pocket pets! Scissors are needed to help us make these environmentally responsible and much-enjoyed toys. -TheAnimalFoundation
Many rescue dogs have matting and tangles that need to be removed to make the dog more comfortable and more appealing for adoption. -TheAnimalFoundation
Desperately needed! This is the preferred baby food used by The Animal Foundation vets for fragile young kittens who are "picky eaters." We are always in need and can never have too much of this high-nutrition food! -TheAnimalFoundation
We don't just save dogs and cats. The Animal Foundation takes in all kinds of animals, including hamsters, gerbils, turtles and other animals and reptiles we house in tanks. -TheAnimalFoundation
Provides safe and soothing warmth to young foster puppies and kitties while they sleep and is less expensive than other similar options. -TheAnimalFoundation
1 out of every 3 foster kittens requires this formula so we go through A LOT and never have enough. Help our kittens grow healthy and strong. -TheAnimalFoundation
Enrichment is a vital component of a successful adoption program. Sensory enrichment through smell keeps our pups on their toes and reduces stress. -TheAnimalFoundation
The Animal Foundation uses these in our Community Cats program to handle feral cats and also when rescuing chickens, roosters and other recalcitrant rescue animals. -TheAnimalFoundation
We use these fan heaters can help keep dogs and cats warm in their clinic kennels. The surgery suite needs to be relatively cold for infection control so kennels right outside of surgery can be chilly. -TheAnimalFoundation
Cats waiting to be adopted need stimulation and play. Catnip targets feline "happy" receptors in the brain and keeps cats healthy and happy. -TheAnimalFoundation
We use essential oils in our enrichment program to help reduce the stress and boredom of kennel life. Dogs rely on smells to interpret much of their world and love the stimulation different aromas provide. -TheAnimalFoundation
Used post-surgery so animals with wounds can heal properly. A softer, more comfortable neck ring helps eliminate irritation and the clear plastic allows animals to see. We are always in need of these! Please note we need all sizes, S,M,L. -TheAnimalFoundation
As our Low Cost Clinic becomes increasingly popular for spay and neuter services, microchipping and vaccinations, more basic clinic supplies are needed. -TheAnimalFoundation
These cubes promote play among the foster kittens and have a private "den" that creates a fun hide-out. The cushioned top is also a comfortable place for foster kittens and cats to settle in and relax. -TheAnimalFoundation
Our veterinary clinic needs a new pet scale to manage and track animal body mass, which is particularly important when the team is caring for malnourished rescue animals. -TheAnimalFoundation
