Boustany to Host 3rd Annual Farm Day Forum to Explore New Markets for Louisiana Ag Products

Washington, D.C.  – U.S. Representative Charles W. Boustany, Jr., R-Southwest Louisiana, will host the 3rd annual Farm Day Forum.  This year’s forum will be held on Wednesday, February 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. CDT at the Abbeville Recreational Center.  Boustany will discuss implementation of the 2008 Farm Bill, potential markets for Louisiana agricultural products and a number of other issues related to the farming and ranching community.

Boustany will be joined by Louisiana Agriculture and Forestry Commissioner Mike Strain, Louisiana FSA Director Willie Cooper and American Farm Bureau trade expert Chris Garza.

Boustany recently received an appointment to the prestigious House Ways and Means Committee with jurisdiction over tax and trade policy greatly affecting Louisiana farmers.
