Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Charles W. Boustany, Jr., (R-Southwest Louisiana), today announced Joe Hill will serve as Field Representative for Southwest Louisiana including Calcasieu, Cameron and Jefferson Davis parishes.

“My staff continues to help people across our area as they interact with federal government departments and agencies,” Boustany said.  “Joe will serve on my behalf when I am in Washington.  Ensuring constituents receive assistance as they struggle with bureaucratic red tape is one of my top priorities, and Joe’s experience will be critical to solving many of the problems we face.  In addition to his time in my office in Lake Charles, Joe will make regular visits around our area.”

Hill, a Louisiana-native, previously served as Intergovernmental Affairs Officer for FEMA.  With FEMA, Hill was a liaison for the agency with city, parish and state entities.  He assisted with the recovery efforts following hurricanes Rita, Gustav and Ike.

Hill said, “I am excited to again work with the individuals and governments I helped to begin the recovery process following several devastating hurricanes.  I look forward to serving the people of Southwest Louisiana as a member of Representative Boustany’s staff.”

Boustany’s staff can often assist individuals living in Southwest Louisiana with disputes with Social Security, Veterans’ Administration or for other benefits as well as FEMA claims.  In addition, staff members have information on a wide range of beneficial programs and resources.
