Rep. Luetkemeyer made it clear during a recent hearing of the Financial Services Committee that he has little tolerance for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Justice Department working together to attack the entire non-deposit private lending industry. Rep. Luetkemeyer fears this could be the first step in an attempt by various government agencies to take similar action against other portions of the private sector they disagree with.
