Defense & National Security

My family and I are very fortunate to call America our home. Defending our country and protecting our freedoms is one of the most essential tasks of our federal government, and I do not take that task lightly.

As a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, I work with our Intelligence Community to strengthen communication channels between the different agencies working to keep us safe at home and abroad. I believe proper preparation is the key to our national security as well as providing those who protect us with adequate
 resources. 
 
I was also appointed to the House Select Committee on Benghazi to investigate the September 11th 2012 on the U.S. Embassy in Benghazi, Libya. The select committee’s mission is to uncover all the facts of the events leading up to, during, and after the attack so that we may prevent another from happening against Americans at home and abroad. 
 
Georgia is home to many military bases that train our country’s finest men and women of the armed forces, and I will continue to ensure that they are equipped with the best resources and intelligence to continue keeping our homeland safe.
