U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) today sent a letter to President Barack Obama requesting him to encourage federal agencies to help boost the Gulf Coast economy by hosting their conferences, conventions, and meetings along the Alabama Gulf Coast, which has been severely impacted by the oil spill.
