Washington, D.C. – House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) released the following statement on the House’s decision to again vote on the Keystone XL pipeline:

“After more than six years and eight votes to approve the Keystone XL pipeline, the House will once again vote to approve this important project that will create jobs and take us a step closer to North American energy independence. For years, Senate Democrats have stood in the way of all of these bills.  It is pathetic, but not surprising, that our economic and energy future is being dictated by Senate Democrats who are only attempting to limit the electoral damage from last week night. The House remains committed to legislation that harnesses energy resources to create jobs and increase the standard of living for all Americans, and tomorrow’s vote will reinforce that resolve.”
