Opportunity, wage growth and more well-paying jobs — that is what folks in Tennessee and across our country are demanding, and it is why I'm working to reform the U.S. Export-Import Bank.

I am proud of the strong Jewish community that resides in Tennessee's Eighth Congressional District, and I share many of their concerns that the agreement reached between the Obama administration and the Islamic Republic of Iran endangers Americans and leaves Israel extremely vulnerable to the threat of a nuclear attack.

“Our financial system is not strengthened by limiting choice and increasing the concentration of services and products in the hands of a few "too-big-to-fail" firms. The success and security of our system is reliant upon institutions of all sizes servicing consumers and businesses with diverse needs.”

Fairness for rural America – that’s what we need and deserve. Unfortunately, millions of rural Americans are being unfairly shut out of the market for affordable housing. Harmful. Not helpful. That’s how I’ve long viewed the IRS-controlled health care law, more commonly referred to as Obamacare. Now, even once enthusiastic supporters are coming to the same realization — signaling to Americans everywhere the law is a proverbial train wreck. It’s a rare occasion when groups across the political spectrum agree on anything, but IRS-controlled healthcare is just that harmful.
