Congressman Stephen Fincher

Representing the 8th District of TENNESSEE

Tax Reform

Washington needs to get out of the way.  The average American deserves a better understanding of how they are being taxed and where their tax dollars are going. It is my belief that a more efficient and fairer system of taxation will help grow the economy by making the tax code work for families, small businesses and corporations. The bottom line is taxes are too high and our current tax code takes too much out of the pockets of Americans in order to fund wasteful government programs. Washington bureaucrats should not control Americans’ freedom to choose their own path to success. By allowing Americans to keep more of their hard-earned money, they are empowered to decide for themselves how to spend their money, where to invest, and how much to save. I support policies that will transition the current tax code to a flatter, simpler system for all.
