Congressman Stephen Fincher

Representing the 8th District of TENNESSEE

Christian Values

Religious Freedom

The founders of our nation included in their ten amendments to the U.S. Constitution a provision that protects the rights of the people to practice a religion they choose without interference from the government. Washington already meddles in the lives of Americans enough. As a Christian, I believe religious freedoms and expressions are part of the fabric of our country and should not be stomped upon.

Pro-life

Life is a precious gift from God, and we must encourage and support healthy pregnancies and babies to further strengthen our families. With today's advancements in technology, you can actually see a baby move and grow inside the mother. It's truly amazing to watch these lives develop before they are ever delivered into our world. Our future as a nation is dependent on our children and supporting their chance at life is an investment in our nation. America was founded on principles that include “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” Abortion denies these rights to the thousands of unborn children aborted every year. As a pro-life member of Congress, I believe that life begins at conception and that abortion is not an option. Because of my strong faith, defending the right to life is a priority for me, and I will support every effort to try to stop the multitudes of abortions that occur every year.
