Congressman Stephen Fincher

Representing the 8th District of TENNESSEE

Agriculture

Agriculture is at the heart of the 8th District of Tennessee. West Tennesseans can find every part of the farm-to-table process in our district. As a seventh generation farmer, I understand how important a strong, stable agriculture policy is to our district.

The 2014 Farm Bill (P.L. 113-79) provided stability for five years, reformed existing farm programs, consolidated of duplicative programs, and provided necessary risk management tools for farmers. I will continue to work to ensure that Congress implements good agricultural policy for not only farmers in the 8th District, but for farmers throughout our country. With good agricultural policies, come low food prices, which will help keep the cost of groceries affordable and allow Americans across the country to put nutritious food on the table for their family.

My faith and belief in Christ are incredibly important to me and guide my life. Of course, that’s not something the liberal media approve of. They take every opportunity to pick and choose stories, truncating the facts and taking quotes out of context, which helps drive their agenda of more government and less individual freedoms.
