Fincher Recognizes Covington's Confidential Care for Women in #FaithitForward Campaign

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Stephen Fincher participated in the Congressional Prayer Caucus’ Faith it Forward campaign. The goal of the campaign is to highlight uplifting and inspiring stories of how people of faith are making a positive impact on their communities. Congressman Fincher recognized Confidential Care for Women, a faith based, local pregnancy center located in Covington, TN. Confidential Care shared the story of Mabry Kate, a child that was given a chance at life after her 15-year-old mother decided against abortion.

"As a father of three and a devout Christian, I'm proud to support such a wonderful organization that empowers West Tennessee mothers, families and children through the Gospel,” said Congressman Fincher. "Faith never stops fighting for the voiceless, which is illustrated in the story of Mabry Kate, a beautiful miracle whose mother chose against abortion after Confidential Care offered her support and comfort through the Word of the Lord. I commend the work of all those serving tirelessly behind the scenes at Confidential Care to better our communities."

Confidential Care works with many other faith based organizations throughout Tennessee to protect the lives of the unborn. They have served over 16,000 clients and have been integral in 584 life decisions from women seeking abortions. Today, Mabry Kate is with a loving family. Confidential Care is still involved with her adoptive parents as well as her biological mother. 

"We are privileged to partner with so many different organizations that are a part of saving the lives of these precious children," said Diana Meinweiser, Mobile Coordinator at Confidential Care. "From the Sunday school class that called us to let us know about the young lady, to the sidewalk counselor that showed up on a moment's notice and the adoption agency that opened their doors when we called. Working together like this is truly what it means to be a part of the Body of Christ!"
