The Museum of Northern Arizona is among 30 finalists for the 2015 National Medal for Museum and Library Services.

The medal is the nation's highest honor given to museums and libraries for service to the community.

U.S. Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick, D-Flagstaff, who nominated the museum for the award, weighed in on the announcement.
