Rep. Edwards spoke on the floor of the House about gun violence across Maryland. From her remarks:
"In just this year alone, Maryland has lost 301 lives to gun violence. That’s 301 families who have lost a mother, father, brother, sister, son, or daughter. Those families will never forget the loved ones that they’ve lost, and neither should this body. Today, I’m going to read their names aloud, and I urge my colleagues to listen, stand up, take on the National Rifle Association, and stop the flood of gun violence that is ravaging our communities in Maryland and across our country."
