ENROLL OC - THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT IN ORANGE COUNTY
Open enrollment for 2015 health insurance plans through Covered California runs from November 15, 2014, to February 15, 2015.
If you already have coverage, it’s time to come back and renew it unless you have Medi-cal, which will contact you about next steps.
If you don’t have coverage, visit CoveredCA.com, call (800) 300-1506, or find in-person local help to learn about the plans in your area, to see what financial assistance is available and get covered.
Enroll OC
Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez is getting out the word about Covered California and connecting Orange County residents with certified, in person bilingual health insurance enrollment services through her Enroll OC initiative.
Last enrollment period Enroll OC helped more than 2,000 Orange County residents enroll in health insurance, contributing to the County’s unexpected success. After the first enrollment period, Congresswoman Sanchez followed up Enroll OC with Know Your Benefits bilingual workshops aimed at directly connecting newly insured Orange County residents with their healthcare benefits.

What to Bring to an Enrollment Event
For each family member applying, please bring:
- Proof of income: either Past 30 days of Pay Stubs, Income Tax Return or Award Letters (unemployment, disability benefits, social security benefits, etc)
- Proof of identify: For the person who is applying for the family: California ID or Driver’s License
- Proof of Citizenship: either U.S. passport, Legal Resident Card (green card), Certificate of Citizenship or Naturalization Documentation
You should also know the birth dates, social security numbers and your home zip code of the applicants.
Please note: families that include undocumented immigrants can apply. You can apply for your child even if you are not eligible for coverage. Immigration information is not shared with immigration services.
The Affordable Care Act, Covered California, and FAQ

By law, your coverage can't be dropped or denied if you have a pre-existing medical condition or if you get sick. Covered California gives Californians the power to access and choose the health care plan that fits their needs and helps make quality health care more affordable by offering financial assistance for those who qualify. Enrollment can be done online, on the phone, by mail or fax or in person with free and confidential enrollment assistance.
