TUCSON, Ariz. — Interstate 10 between Phoenix and Tucson could see a major makeover thanks to a new, $54 million grant.

Officials announced the grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation on Wednesday.

The section of I-10 carries about 120,000 vehicles per day and bottlenecks north of Casa Grande.
