WASHINGTON – Rep. Randy Neugebauer (R-TX), Chairman of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Housing and Insurance, today questioned Treasury Secretary Lew on FSOC’s insurance expertise and SIFI designation process. Last week, Neugebauer introduced and the Committee passed H.R. 4881, a bill to place a one-year moratorium on the authority of FSOC from making financial stability determinations.
