Neugebauer Votes to Stop President Obama’s Unconstitutional Executive Amnesty

WASHINGTON – Rep. Randy Neugebauer (TX-19) released the following statement after the House passed H.R. 240, legislation to fund the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) while stopping President Obama’s unconstitutional executive amnesty: 

“Today, I joined my colleagues in the House to defund President Obama’s unconstitutional executive amnesty. We must stand up for the Constitution and our system of checks and balances. Enough is enough. Hardworking taxpayer dollars should not be used to fund the President’s unilateral actions and executive overreach. The President’s amnesty is also unfair to the many individuals and families who have played by the rules and moved through the legal immigration process. I am proud that this legislation continues to provide for the brave men and women who defend our nation and work to secure our border, while holding the President accountable for his continued unconstitutional executive amnesty.”
