Since the passage of the Affordable Care Act, a multitude of new resources have become available for individuals, families and small businesses seeking to purchase affordable health care coverage. A number of useful tools and resources are listed below. You can also call my office anytime with any questions or concerns.

• Covered California-- Covered California is our state's new marketplace for affordable, private health insurance created by the Affordable Care Act. The marketplace will open January 1st 2014. The new website allows you to find information about coverage available to you, to estimate your health insurance cost, and to request assistance before enrollment begins.
• HealthLawAnswers.org-- Have a question about what the Affordable Care Act means for you? AARP has recently released this online tool to help you identify what new resources and benefits are available to you under the Affordable Care Act.  The tool is also available in spanish at www.MiLeyDeSalud.org.
• Business USA Health Care Changes Wizard-- Small businesses can find out more about new resources and health care changes.
• Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP)- The Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) is a new program that simplifies the process of buying health insurance for your small business.
