Barrasso, McCain to Hold Roundtable Discussion in Arizona with Leaders of the Navajo Nation

WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Friday, Sept. 16 at 1:30 PM MDT, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), chairman of the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs, and former committee chairman and current committee member, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) will hold a roundtable discussion on “Safeguarding Tribal Sovereignty, Economic Development, and Education on the Navajo Nation.” The roundtable will take place at the Karigan Professional Building Complex in St. Michaels, Arizona.

The discussion will include the Honorable Russell Begaye, president of the Navajo Nation; the Honorable Jonathan Nez, vice president of the Navajo Nation; and the Honorable LoRenzo Bates, speaker of the Navajo Nation Council.
