Graham Takes Zika Fight to the Streets
PANAMA CITY, Fla. – Representative Gwen Graham is taking her fight against the Zika virus to the streets, battling mosquitos firsthand on a Workday with the Bay County Mosquito Control Division.
“My Workday was about raising awareness around our state and country to what needs to be done now to avoid an epidemic,” Rep. Graham said. “Florida’s on the front lines in the fight against Zika. It’s time for Congress to do their job and pass full funding to fight this deadly virus.”
Rep. Graham has been a leader in the fight against Zika. In Congress, she’s co-sponsored legislation to appropriate $1.9 billion toward Zika research, prevention and response, and she’s rallied more than 120 Democrats onto a letter calling for a vote on full funding to fight the deadly virus.
