An amendment offered by Reps. Donna F. Edwards (MD-4) and Barbara Comstock (VA-10) to overhaul appointments and oversight of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s (WMATA) board of directors was adopted in the House Amendments to Senate Amendments to H.R. 22, the DRIVE Act. Senator Barbara Mikulski (MD) has championed this effort in the Senate.
