Board Drops Proposal to Hire Costly Legal Firm to Defend Questionable Redistricting Plan
 
(ORLANDO, Fla.) - Congressman Alan Grayson (FL-09) today offered public comments regarding the Orange County Commissioners’ plan to spend $340,000 of taxpayer funds on defending a questionable redistricting
plan. Grayson challenged the Board’s proposal to pay a well-connected lobbying firm for legal advice. Grayson also expressed concerns over the Board’s mishandling of the Earned Sick Leave ballot initiative. Grayson’s
comments earned a standing ovation.
