Visit Washington, D.C.

Our nation’s capitol is a wonderful place to visit for vacation or on business.  I invite you to stop by my office and visit while you are here.  I am always glad to meet with constituents when I can.  Click here for a map to my office in the Longworth House Office Building in Washington, DC.

In addition, my staff is happy to help you set up tours around the city.   Below are several free tours you can schedule and plan yourself.  However, requests for a White House tour must be placed through a Congressional office, so please see the information below on how to request a White House tour.  For help with a tour, please click here.

If you have any questions regarding any tours, you may contact Parker Williams of my staff at (202) 225-2031 or at Jonathan.Lemaire@mail.house.gov.

Capitol Tours
For Capitol tours please contact Parker to book a tour time and date.  The Capitol Visitors Center and the Capitol provide an insight into our government and a history of Washington, D.C.  My office is located in the Longworth House Office Building, directly across the street from the Capitol, so please stop by when you are close to the Capitol.  View a map of U.S. Capitol to help determine your schedule.  Due to the number of visitors, I encourage you to schedule your Capitol tour at least one month before you plan to be in Washington.

White House Tour Information
All White House tour requests must now adhere to the following security parameters set down by the U.S. Secret Service.

All tour groups should contact their Congressional Office at least 2-4 months in advance. It is important to note that tours are allotted by the White House on a first come basis, so you should contact our office as early as possible to request a tour. We also think it is important to make you aware that White House tours are extremely restrictive and there are a very limited amount of tours granted with the likelihood of receiving a tour decreasing significantly the closer your request is to the tour date.

Please have an exact head count when submitting a White House tour request to your Congressional Office.

All White House tours are conducted between 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

All persons are subject to background check conducted by the U.S. Secret Service and will have to submit the following information to the Tour Coordinator of the Congressman's Office at least 21 days in advance of the requested date/s:

Name (as it appears on a photo ID)
Social Security Number
Date of Birth
Country of Origin
Whether they are a U.S. citizen
City and State of Residency

If you are not able to secure a tour of the White House, the White House Visitors Center is open from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. seven days a week. It is located at the intersection of 15th and E Streets NW. Click here for a map of the White House.
