Welcome to the 2016 Flood Recovery page. As we continue to monitor the ongoing situation, I want to make sure you have all of the latest news and information available in one place. As I keep in close contact with local officials in the Third Congressional District, I will provide helpful resources and the latest news as it becomes available. I will continue to work with the Governor’s office, the Louisiana congressional delegation, and local officials to ensure all affected parishes receive adequate federal assistance. HOW TO APPLY FOR AID
You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for disaster relief through FEMA. To apply, you must have the following information available to report:
- Social Security Number
- Insurance Information (including flood insurance, homeowners insurance, etc.)
- Damage Documentation
- Total Household Income
- Contact Information
- Bank Information (bank name, type of account, routing & account numbers)
You may visit www.disasterassistance.gov, call 1-800-621-3362, or download the FEMA mobile app through your provider’s app store in order to apply for federal disaster assistance.
