On March 11, 2010, with my full support, the House Republican Conference adopted a resolution which prohibits House Republicans from submitting earmark requests for the remainder of the 111th Congress. In accordance with these new rules, I will be observing the moratorium and will not be submitting funding requests to the House Appropriations Committee for Fiscal Year 2011. This includes authorization/language requests, as well as programmatic funding request letters for previously authorized programs and projects.
