Your VA Story

Our state is privileged to be home to over 700,000 veterans, and I am proud to represent a district that has a strong military presence. Just as these patriots upheld their commitment to serve our country, we owe it to them to uphold our commitment to care for them during and after their service. As a country, we must never take for granted the sacrifice of our veterans. As your Congressman, I will continue to work tirelessly to ensure these heroes are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.

As you know, recent investigations into the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) have uncovered an alarming level of unaccountability and sub-par care across the country. While I recognize the good things the VA does for our veterans and the hard work by caregivers at our VA hospitals, I also recognize the need to cut through the bureaucracy and clean up the systemic problems encompassing the entire Department.

In order to better serve our veterans and provide them the benefits that they’ve earned, I need to understand exactly what our veterans experience when dealing with the VA. If you or someone you know have dealt with the VA recently, please take a minute to fill out the form below and share your experience.

As always, my Congressional office stands ready to help veterans navigate through the bureaucracy and backlog at the VA. If you need assistance, please call 704.786.1612 or visit https://hudson.house.gov/help-with-a-federal-agency1.
