Hudson Votes to Repeal Obamacare’s IPAB
 
WASHINGTON, D.C.- Today U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement after voting to repeal the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB), a harmful rationing board of unelected bureaucrats created by Obamacare:
 
“President Obama wants to take health care decisions away from seniors and their doctors and put them into the hands of unaccountable bureaucrats who wield the power to restrict care, access and choice. Today’s legislation to get rid of Obamacare’s care-cutting board is critical to put North Carolina’s seniors back in charge of their health care and preserve Medicare. I will continue to fight to repeal Obamacare and protect North Carolinians from its shortcomings while advancing patient-centered reforms.”
 
Following last week’s bipartisan vote to repeal Obamacare’s medical device tax, the House passed the bipartisan Protecting Seniors’ Access to Medicare Act of 2015 (H.R. 1190) to repeal Obamacare’s IPAB, an unelected board appointed by President Obama to reduce Medicare costs through arbitrary cuts to providers which will limit access to care for seniors.
