Hudson Votes For Jobs, Affordable Energy
 
WASHINGTON, D.C.– Today U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) voted for the North American Energy Security and Infrastructure Act (H.R. 8), a comprehensive energy bill that seeks to maximize America’s energy potential to promote job creation, strengthen the economy, and keep energy affordable.
 
“Like most North Carolinians, my priorities are jobs, the economy, and making sure we have access to reliable and affordable energy. As made apparent by the president’s moratorium on American energy and radical regulations, this administration doesn’t share our priorities. Today’s robust energy plan will responsibly unlock our resources, prioritize jobs and strengthen energy security by cutting through burdensome red tape and modernizing energy infrastructure. We have incredible potential for growth, and I will continue to work with my colleagues to advance an all-of-the-above energy strategy that gets Washington out of the way and promotes job creation in North Carolina.”
 
As a leader on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Energy and Power, Rep. Hudson has been working with his colleagues to advance an all-of-the-above energy strategy that responsibly develops and uses the sources of energy available in the United States to create jobs and lower energy costs. 
 
America is a global leader in energy production thanks to technological advances and innovation, and H.R. 8 is a broad energy bill that seeks to maximize and capitalize on this growing energy potential. By replacing outdated policies rooted in an era of scarcity to reflect today’s era of energy abundance and clearing out burdensome regulations, we will strengthen our energy future and promote job creation.
