Hudson Congratulates Haas F1 Team
 
CONCORD, N.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement congratulating the Haas F1 Team, based out of Kannapolis, on their outstanding start to the 2016 FIA Formula One World Championship season:
 
“I want to congratulate the Haas F1 Team for their incredible achievement of scoring points in the first two races of their debut season in the FIA Formula One World Championship. This extraordinary feat has them placed 5th in the FIA Formula One Constructors Championship and is almost unprecedented in the Formula One racing series. This goes to show that American hard work and ingenuity earn results, and I am proud that Haas F1 Team calls North Carolina’s 8th District home. I look forward to celebrating their continued success.”
 
This is Haas F1 Team’s debut season competing in the FIA Formula One World Championship. A debut team has not scored points in the FIA Formula One World Championship since 2002, and an American team has not scored points since 1986, the last time an American led team competed in Formula One.
