Vote Now for the Program You Want to See Cut

Washington, DC, May 18, 2011 | comments

Last week I joined Majority Leader Eric Cantor in announcing the second phase of last year's popular YouCut initiative. YouCut gives Americans the opportunity to have a direct say in how we address the national debt by voting online to cut funding from one of three wasteful government programs.

This week's vote, which continues through the end of this week, presents three programs that include funding for cultural and development programs in other countries totaling hundreds of millions of dollars. The program that receives the most votes will then be introduced as a bill in the House of Representatives and its progress will be tracked on the YouCut site.

Please go to this page on my website to learn more about these programs and to VOTE for the one you would most like to see cut.  Then leave your own suggestions for programs to be considered in upcoming YouCut votes.

Thank you for your participation.  I look forward to hearing  what you have to say!
