In addition, my staff can serve as a resource to you in booking tours for your trip. Please fill out my online form or contact my office at 202-225-4531. Below is information about two of the most popular tours, as well as a helpful link to information about other popular tourist sites in Washington.

The United States Capitol

Tours of the US Capitol can be booked by visiting . General admission tickets for the United States Capitol are available Monday through Saturday on a first come first serve basis, so arrive early.  Tickets are distributed beginning at 8:00 am, and tours are conducted from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Congressional staff led tours are available through my office to Second District constituents. Please contact my office at 202-225-4531 for information on tour times and to reserve your spot.

The White House

Tickets to tour the White House are extremely limited. Tour requests should be made up to six months in advance and requests are considered on a first come first serve basis. The minimum amount of advance notice required for these tours is 3 weeks, but getting tickets is very unlikely unless the request is made several months in advance. The White House does not inform Congressional offices about the status of tour requests until two or three weeks before the requested tour date.  Please note, all tours are subject to cancellation due to occasional security shutdowns.

This Spring, the White House will be opening its gardens and grounds to visitors on Saturday, April 16 from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM EDT, and Sunday, April 17 from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM EDT. During this event, visitors can see the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, Rose Garden, and South Lawn of the White House.  Please contact my Washington, DC office if you would like to be placed on our waiting list for the 2016 White House Spring Garden Tour.
