Internships

In my Washington Office:

Are you interested in politics and public service? Would you like to spend a semester living and working in the nation’s capital? We are now accepting applications for Summer 2016 internships.

Main duties include researching policy issues, conducting tours of the U.S. Capitol Building, attending hearings and briefings, communicating with constituents, and assisting staff with various tasks. The internship is unpaid but offers a great opportunity to learn the ins and outs of Capitol Hill.

All interested applicants are asked to complete the internship application. The deadline for Summer 2016 applications is March 16th. Questions may be directed to the Intern Coordinator, Drew McDowell, at (202)-225-4531.

In my District Offices in Dunn and Asheboro:

If you are interested in an internship in my Dunn or Asheboro office, main duties include data entry of policy information, communicating with constituents, and assisting staff with various tasks.  Interested applicants are asked to complete the internship application and submit resumes to District Manager Pat Fitzgerald.  Questions may be directed to my office in Dunn at 910/230-1910.
