Hurricane Matthew:

As we continue to clean up and recover from the damage Hurricane Matthew left in its wake, dangers from damage and flooding remain in many parts of the state. Please stay informed about the conditions in your area by following your local news, visiting ReadyNC.org, downloading the free ReadyNC app and utilizing the information below:

Emergency:

- As always, in the event of an emergency, call 911.

- Farmers who have an agricultural emergency can call 1-866-645-9403.

- NC Emergency Management can be reached at 919-825-2500.

Information:

- Call 211 for shelters, food assistance, and storm recovery info

- Call 511 for roadway conditions

- Agriculture disaster information can be found at www.ncagr.gov/disaster.

Assistance:

- If you need assistance due to damages incurred as a result of Hurricane Matthew, you may be eligible for help through FEMA. Cumberland, Hoke and Harnett counties in the 2nd District have been approved for individual assistance. To apply, visit disasterassistance.gov or call 800-621-3362. For those with a speech disability or hearing loss and use TTY call 800-462-7585; for 711 or Video Relay Service call 800-621-3362. See additional information about the FEMA Aid application process below.

- For flood insurance questions, please call 1-800-621-3362 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (select option 2). Call center staff can assist with information regarding policies, offer technical flood guidance to aid in recovery, and answer other flood insurance questions.

•- The U. S. Small Business Administration has announced a disaster declaration for North counties affected by Hurricane Matthew.  The SBA offers disaster loans for small businesses, agricultural cooperatives, private nonprofits, homeowners and renters.  For more information, visit: disasterloan.sba.gov.
