Only 4.6% of CEOs and 21% of Senior Management are women.  As a small business owner and father of two daughters, I believe it is crucial to change these statistics and empower young women to strive to become business leaders.

The 10th District Young Women's Leadership Academy provides young women enrolled in high school the opportunity to develop leadership skills, learn more about the legislative process, meet and interact with inspiring female leaders and explore career opportunities. This bipartisan program is designed to teach young women about leadership by giving them the opportunity to learn from and interact with women in leadership positions.  The Spring Session of the YWLA is focused on women in business. The Academy includes speakers who are successful, influential and innovative women who are at the top of their field and thought-provoking activities to inspire young women to follow in their footsteps. Through this unique program, participants can engage with their peers and special guests in candid, roundtable discussions while sharing insights, advice and stories.

The Spring Session is now underway. To nominate an inspiring young woman for a future session of the Academy, please click here.
